Overview
This thesis includes considering hybrid tendencies and the boundary characteristics by applying space analysis tools in new media environment which come to the fore by developing digital technology. There are three hybrid tendencies in new media environment; morphometric hybrid, spatial hybrid, hybrid of programs. These are based on five concepts of digital design. The purpose of this study is to influence new media environment as design concept. Final work was visually made for expressing boundary property of new media and hybrid tendencies.
본 연구는 디지털 기술의 발전으로 인해 대두된 뉴미디어 환경에서의 하이브리드 경향을 도출하고 공간해석적인 분석틀을 뉴미디어 작품에 적용하여 경계 특성들을 분석한다. 뉴미디어 환경에서 하이브리드 경향은 형태적인 혼성, 공간적인 혼성, 프로그램의 혼성의 3가지 종류가 있고, 이것은 5가지 디지털 디자인의 개념을 토대로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 하이브리드의 개념이 뉴미디어 환경에서 영향력을 넓히며 발전해 나갈 수 있기를 기대한다.
Background
The morphometric hybrid has boundary characteristics of spontaneous movement and is based on the concept of digital design like co-citation mapping and animate forms. The spatial hybrid which is based on liquid/trans architecture has the characteristics of neutral transferring space. Hybrid of programs based on mobile force makes multiple crevices.
형태적인 혼성은 Co-citation mapping과 Animate forms의 디지털 디자인 개념을 포함하고 모호한 경계의 요소들이 자생적 움직임을 유도하는 특성을 가진다. Liquid/Trans architecture의 개념을 포함하는 공간적인 혼성은 서로 다른 영역을 매개하며 전환의 의미와 머무름의 공간을 제공한다. 프로그램의 혼성은 Mobile force의 개념을 기반으로 다중적 틈새를 발생시키는 경계 특성을 나타낸다.
